Rei Sakuma is a female voice actress and singer active since the mid-1980s. She has played beloved characters in many long-running titles, including Batako-san in Soreike! Anpanman, the black cat Jiji in Kiki's Delivery Service, Shampoo in Ranma 1/2, and Little My in The Moomins, making her one of the industry's most senior figures. As an anime singer she performed Surprise wa Yamerarenai, the ending of the voice-actress omnibus Seraphim Call, expressing a heroine's bubbling first love through a bright and charming vocal.
