Mitsuhiro Oikawa is a Japanese singer-songwriter and actor who launched his solo career in the mid-1990s. Known affectionately as Micchy, he is a flamboyant entertainer whose work mixes self-penned, decadent and romantic lyrics with a velvet-suited stage presence. In anime he played Akio Ohtori in the theatrical Revolutionary Girl Utena: Adolescence Apocalypse and sang its theme Fiancee ni Naritai, coloring the film's dreamlike texture with a dramatic love song. He also performed Go Ahead!!, the opening of Battle Spirits: Shounen Toppa Bashin.
