Aki Maeda is an actress and singer with a child-actor background. Together with her older sister Ai Maeda she was active from a young age, and gained wider recognition through the film 'Battle Royale'. As an anisong singer she performed both the opening 'Daijobu' and ending 'Minna ga Ii ne' for the TV anime 'BOYS BE...', as well as the ending 'Genki no Shower' for 'Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters'. Her honest, down-to-earth voice lent a relatable warmth to the adolescent coming-of-age story and to the iconic shonen series.
