Jungle Smile is a male-female duo consisting of vocalist and lyricist Ikuno Takagi and composer-arranger Isao Yoshida. They debuted in 1996 with the single 'Kaze wo Okosou' and won the New Artist Award at the All Japan Cable Broadcasting Awards the following year with 'Kataomoi.' In anime, their song 'Onaji Hoshi,' used as the ending theme for the TV anime 'DT Eightron,' became a smash hit and is widely regarded as one of their signature tracks. For 'Super GALS!' (超GALS! 寿蘭) they provided the ending theme 'Dakishimetai,' offering a gentle pop sound that complements the Shibuya-set series. Active from the late 1990s into the early 2000s, the unit is known for its clear female vocals and acoustic-leaning arrangements.
