Sister MAYO, whose real name is Masayo Sawada, is a female singer from Ichikawa City in Chiba Prefecture. She began her career as a vocalist of the techno-flavored unit Cyber Nation Network, and under her solo name she became widely recognized for performing 'LOVE Tropicana,' the opening theme of the TV anime 'Jungle wa Itsumo Hare nochi Guu.' Her bright, tropical vocals matched the slapstick comedy of this jungle-set series and gave the show one of its most memorable openings. She has since become a regular vocalist in Project.R, the unit producing many Super Sentai theme and insert songs, and continues to be active across both the anime and tokusatsu music scenes.
