NONA REEVES is a Japanese pop-soul / pop-funk band consisting of vocalist Gota Nishidera, guitarist Kensuke Okuda and drummer Shigeru Komatsu. The name was originally a solo project that Nishidera started in 1995, which evolved into a band after meetings at Waseda University's music circle, and they later made their major debut with the single 'GOLF ep..' Drawing on deep love for Western pop, soul and disco - notably the works of Michael Jackson - they have carved out a distinctive position in Japan with bright, colorful melodies and sophisticated arrangements. In anime, they performed 'LOVE TOGETHER,' the opening theme of the TV anime 'PaRappa the Rapper,' with lyrics and music by Nishidera himself, delivering a funky number that carries on the pop bounce of the original game.
