TRY FORCE is a Japanese music unit assembled around vocalist Hironobu Kageyama, joined by top-flight musicians Ken'ichi Sudo, Yogo Kono and Yoshichika Kuriyama who also support the sound of JAM Project. Their debut single, 'FACE,' was used as the opening theme of the anime 'Heat Guy J,' with all writing, composing and arranging handled by the unit themselves. Heavy guitar riffs and a half-shouted vocal drive a track tailor-made for the hard sci-fi action of a series with character designs by Nobuteru Yuki, and it is remembered as a defining anime-rock cut from the early years of the Lantis label.
