HOUND DOG is a long-running Japanese rock band led by Kohei Otomo, active since the 1980s. With hits like 'ff (Fortissimo)' and 'Bridge -Ano Hi ni Modoretara-' and a powerful live reputation including multi-night Nippon Budokan runs, the band remains a heavyweight presence in Japanese rock. In anime, HOUND DOG performed 'R★O★C★K★S', the very first opening theme of 'NARUTO', whose muscular rock sound made an indelible impression as the franchise launched. Composed and arranged by Hitoshi Minowa with lyrics by Yukio Matsuo, this driving rock anthem remains one of the iconic anime theme songs that opened the NARUTO saga.
