STANCE PUNKS is a Japanese punk rock band formed in 1998, who built a following on the Shimokitazawa and Shinjuku LOFT live-house circuit with raw punk sound and impassioned vocals. In anime, they performed 'No Boy, No Cry', a NARUTO opening theme, written and composed by TSURU with fast, driving energy that injected raw punk vitality into the ninja series. As one of the show's opening themes during Part I, the track is widely recognized among international fans as an iconic example of NARUTO's punk-rock side.
