Akina Takaya is a female vocalist known for a powerful, high-register singing voice. In anime, she performed 'Battle Frontier', an opening theme of 'Pokemon Advanced Generation', an energetic rock track written and composed by Rie and arranged by Koji Takanashi that heated up the Hoenn-region battle sequences. The song was also adopted as the opening of the feature film 'Lucario and the Mystery of Mew', cementing its status as one of the signature battle anthems in Pokemon anime history. Her commanding vocals carry one of the series' most fiery theme songs.
