Yuki Shirai is a male singer and lyricist from Asahikawa, Hokkaido, raised in Sapporo. He made his major solo debut with 'Shining', the sixth opening theme of 'The Prince of Tennis', a refreshing rock track with lyrics by Yusuke Toriumi and music by Mitsuru Shimada that brilliantly opened the sports anime's hot-blooded story. After his debut as a singer he gradually broadened his work as a lyricist, providing lyrics for many high-profile Japanese artists such as Koichi Domoto, TOKIO, and KAT-TUN, and is now widely known as a songwriter.
