KONISHIKI is a Hawaii-born former sumo grand champion — known formally as the sixth-generation Konishiki Yasokichi — who has since become a beloved entertainer through television appearances and music. His signature anime tie-up is 'Kirby Step!,' the ending theme for the TV anime 'Kirby: Right Back at Ya!,' with lyrics by Yuka Kondo and composition and arrangement by Akira Miyagawa. Used from episode 72 to the final episode, the track paired KONISHIKI's cheerful, larger-than-life vocals with the cute pink hero Kirby in a surprisingly fitting combination, leaving a strong impression on viewers along with the show's trademark pre-ending comedy skits.
