Da Capo is a married male-female folk duo formed by Masatoshi Sakakibara and Hiroko Kubota (later Hiroko Sakakibara), who made their debut in August 1973. Built on gentle harmonies and lyrical melodies, they have remained active for more than half a century. Their anime credits span generations: opening 'Sora kara Koboreta Story' and ending 'Thames-gawa no Dance' for the 1984 TV anime 'Sherlock Hound,' the songs 'Seishun wa Fune' and 'Tameiki' for the 1986 'Seishun Anime Zenshu' adaptation of 'Shiosai,' and the ending theme 'Kimi e to Tsuzuku Michi' (lyrics by Hiroko Sakakibara, composition by Masatoshi Sakakibara) for the 2008 'Porphy no Nagai Tabi.' They have long been beloved as a duo whose voices complement the lyrical sensibility of the World Masterpiece Theater lineage.
