The Loose Dogs

The Loose Dogs are a four-piece rock band from Fukui Prefecture who formed in March 2001 and disbanded in March 2010. Centered on Ippei Maeda (vocals, guitar) and known to fans by the nickname 'Loose,' they built a reputation for songs that capture the raw ache of youth head-on. They contributed multiple ending themes to the NHK Educational TV anime 'Major' across several seasons, including 'Shoboi Kao Sunna yo Baby,' 'Yoru ni Nareba' and 'ONE DAY' (ending of 'Major 4th Season,' 2008). They also handled both the opening 'Kimi wa Nanika ga Dekiru ~Play Ball 2005~' and the ending 'Rainbow' for the anime 'Play Ball.' Anchored by Maeda's writing and composition with arrangements involving the band themselves and Zentaro Watanabe, their sound carried the heat of these sports-drama series.
