Takamizawa Toshihiko is a musician best known as the guitarist, vocalist and composer of the rock band THE ALFEE. With his sparkling guitar tone and prolific songwriting for other artists, he has helped lead the Japanese rock scene for decades. His anime ties run deep: he composed 'Hitomi no Chikara,' the ending theme of the TV anime 'Hikaru no Go' (performed by Arisa Mitsuki, lyrics by Hiromi Mori). As a performer, he covered 'Yatterman no Uta' in a super-heavy metal arrangement for a Yatterman-related 2009 release, reinterpreting the original (lyrics by Ichiro Wakabayashi and Masayuki Yamamoto, composition by Yamamoto) with metallic fury that matched the over-the-top spirit of the title hero.
