VELTPUNCH is a Japanese alternative rock band formed in 1997 around vocalist and guitarist Hideaki Naganuma. Featuring male and female twin vocals, the group builds melodic songs on a foundation of muscular guitar rock. They performed CRAWL, the opening theme for the anime Nabari no Ou, with Naganuma writing both lyrics and music and the band handling its own arrangement. Released in May 2008 as their major-label debut single, the track peaked at number 36 on the Oricon weekly charts and remained on the chart for seven weeks, becoming one of the band's defining songs.
