Muramasa is an eight-piece Japanese ska-pop band. Built on bright, catchy horn arrangements and the bouncy rhythms characteristic of ska, the group has built its name primarily through live performances. They performed SWINGING, the opening theme for the anime The Tower of Druaga: The Aegis of Uruk, with Toshihiro, a central figure in the band, writing both lyrics and music. Released in May 2008 as the group's sixth single, the song captured the adventurous spirit of this fantasy anime based on the Namco classic game in a soaring, energetic ska sound.
