knotlamp is a Japanese rock band formed in Fukuoka in 2000. The four-piece lineup features KEIT on vocals and guitar, TOHRU on bass, AKIHIKO on drums, and TETSUNARI on guitar, working a straightforward, high-speed melodic punk / alternative rock sound. Their representative anime tie-up is the second opening theme 'LAST TRAIN -Atarashii Asa-' for 'Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's,' written and composed by KEIT with self-arrangement by the band. The uptempo rock track left a sharp impression on the middle stretch of the series as it moved from the city-based arc into the Dark Signers arc. They received strong praise from melodic-punk fans abroad as well, and after the band's hiatus KEIT continues as a solo artist.
