Hiiragi is an acoustic duo from Sapporo, Hokkaido. Built around a female lead vocal, they specialize in acoustic pop with simple chord work and warm, forward-looking lyrics. A representative anime contribution is 'Ima, Kono Toki.,' the opening theme for the gentle fantasy 'Natsume's Book of Friends,' based on Yuki Midorikawa's manga. Member Erika wrote both the lyrics and music, and Shinichi Asada handled the arrangement. Beginning with the line 'I dedicate this song to you, living in this moment,' the lyrics fit closely with the warm tale of half-yokai protagonist Takashi Natsume and his cat-spirit guardian Nyanko-sensei, anchoring one pillar of the 'Natsume sound' alongside the series' ending themes.
