ACID is a Japanese mixture-rock band formed in August 2003 around vocalist Mirai (HIDEKI), formerly of SIAM SHADE. The band expanded to seven members in 2004 and made its major-label debut in March 2005 with the album 'ACID 1.5 - PUNK DRUNKER -.' Their representative anime tie-ups are 'Tokyo Majin Gakuen Kenpucho: Tou' and its sequel 'Dai Ni Maku,' for which they performed the opening themes '0:00A.M.' and 'Prayer' along with the ending theme 'Hanafubuki.' '0:00A.M.' served as the band's debut single, and their mixture sound—rooted in the visual-kei lineage—colored the show's hardboiled atmosphere.
