Ataru Nakamura is a singer-songwriter and actor from Sumida, Tokyo. Writing songs from around age 15, Nakamura made a major debut in 2006 with the single 'Yogoreta Shitagi' from avex trax, followed that year by the second single 'Tomodachi no Uta,' which led to an appearance on the 58th NHK Kohaku Uta Gassen in 2007, becoming widely known for a delicate, introspective lyrical world and a distinctive voice. For anime, Nakamura performed the ending theme 'Kakeashi no Ikizama' for the giant-robot anime 'REIDEEN,' writing both lyrics and music, with arrangement by Kiyohide Ura. Highly acclaimed, winning an Excellent Album Award at the Japan Record Awards for the fourth album 'Shonen Shojo,' Nakamura also continues to work as an actor in theater and television alongside music.
