rockwell is a two-member rock/pop unit consisting of Manabu Kuroda on vocals, lyrics, and composition, and Seigo Anakura on guitar, composition, and arrangement. Named after the American painter Norman Rockwell, the unit made its major debut in 2006. For anime, they performed the opening theme 'Answer' for the TV anime 'GR: Giant Robo,' based on Mitsuteru Yokoyama's 'Giant Robo,' released as a digital single. The song features lyrics by Manabu Kuroda with composition and arrangement by Seigo Anakura, directly reflecting the unit's own songwriting style. Known for a style balancing band sound with lyrical melody, Anakura has continued musical activity as a guitarist even after the unit went on hiatus.
