Afromania

Afromania is a Japanese rock band formed by classmates from the same high school in Okinawa Prefecture, characterized by a sound incorporating distinctive instrumentation such as harp and sanshin. Their debut single 'Very Very' drew attention when it was chosen as the ending theme for the animal-themed fantasy anime 'Kiba,' and they subsequently performed the later ending theme 'Minna no Peace' for the popular Gainax robot anime 'Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann.' Both songs were composed by Akky, with arrangement jointly by the band and Yohei Tsukazaki. With a unique musicality fusing rock with the folk instrumentation distinctive of their Okinawan roots, they each memorably colored the endings of two works of very different character.
