Saori Kishi is a Japanese singer and stage actress. Active in the world of theater, she made her singing debut with the song 'Yakusoku' after a demo tape reached a music producer. 'Yakusoku' was chosen as the ending theme for the fantasy 'Shonen Onmyoji,' which depicts a young onmyoji. She subsequently performed two songs—the opening theme 'blast of wind' and the ending theme 'Hitorikiri no Sora'—for 'Kaze no Stigma,' a story of a fire-wielding esper, with diverse creators including Chiaki Ishikawa, Mitsuko Komuro, Kazuzumi Mitome, and Akino Arai participating in lyrics and composition. With a voice underpinned by expressive power cultivated in theater, she has shown a strong presence in theme songs for fantasy works with a Japanese-flavored worldview.
