The 50 Kaitenz is a Japanese rock band rooted in garage rock. They performed 'GeGeGe no Kitaro,' the opening theme for the fifth series of the TV anime 'GeGeGe no Kitaro,' covering the familiar song—lyrics by Shigeru Mizuki, composition by Izumi Taku—in an explosive garage rock style. They were the first rock band ever used for a Kitaro theme; all members, fans of Mizuki's work since his rental-book era, brought it to life with the utmost respect, and they later appeared as themselves within the series itself.
