JUJU is a singer who was deeply captivated in New York by music spanning jazz, R&B, hip-hop, soul, Latin, and house, incorporating that background into her singing. She released her debut single in 2004 and built up live performances in Japan in parallel with her musical activities in New York. Known for expressive vocals rooted in R&B and soul, she has produced numerous hit songs. Among her anime-related works is 'Natsu no Hana', the ending theme of the TV anime 'Mononoke'; she sang its poignant high-toned melody with rich emotion, lyrically closing out the Japanese-horror anime. She has continued working on the front line for many years.
