Kano Kaori is a singer-songwriter and composer who formed the band 'Cioccolata' while studying vocal music at Kunitachi College of Music, handling vocals and songwriting. She made her major debut in 1985, drawing industry attention with an innovative musical style that fused Italian opera and contemporary pop using bel canto technique. After working on commercial music and other projects, she made her solo debut in 1991, shifting her style toward J-POP. Among her anime-related works is 'E Scandal', the opening theme of the TV anime 'CODE-E', for which she handled the lyrics, composition, and arrangement herself; she also wrote the series' ending theme 'Kimi kara no Kiseki', comprehensively supporting the show's musical side. In recent years she focuses on songwriting and production for other artists.
