Mai is a character from the anime Ai Mai Mi, voiced by Aya Uchida. Together with Ai (voiced by Yuka Otsubo) and Mii (voiced by Mariya Ise), she is one of the three girls of the manga research club at the center of this chaotic and surreal gag series. Performing in character alongside her bandmates, she sings the opening theme Girigiri Saikyou Ai Mai Mi!, a song written by a-master that even features guitar work by Marty Friedman. The track's lively energy and surprisingly polished production helped give this short-form comedy anime an outsized musical presence, leaving a strong impression on its dedicated fans.
