Jukai is a male-female vocal unit built around lyricist Manami Watanabe and composer Yoshiaki Dewa, with a strength in lyrical ballads. In anime, the unit debuted with 'Anata ga Ita Mori,' the ending theme of 'Fate/stay night' (2006), the first TV anime adaptation of the Fate series. Conceived as a grand ballad that leaves a deep lingering impression, its sorrow-focused lyrics complemented the series' heavy story. The same year they also delivered 'Hoshiakari,' the ending theme of 'Buso Renkin,' adorning the show's ending with a delicate, emotionally rich vocal.
