Yumao is a singer-songwriter who has also worked as a composer and lyricist since around 2002, with a style of writing both words and music herself. In anime, she made her major-label debut with 'Michishirube,' the ending theme of 'Kashimashi: Girl Meets Girl' (2006), writing both the lyrics and music with arrangement by Kaoru Okubo. The same year she handled 'Sweet Home Song,' the ending theme of 'Asatte no Houkou.,' crafted as a nostalgic, warm ballad that carried over the gentle mood of 'Kashimashi.' With a clear voice and delicate songwriting, she has provided songs that closely fit the works they accompany.
