Tokyo 60 Watts
Artist
Tokyo 60 Watts is a music unit formed in 1999 by members who met in a music club at Rikkyo University. In anime, they handled both the opening theme 'Kimi wa Nanika ga Dekiru' and the ending theme 'Summertime Blues' for the baseball anime 'Play Ball 2nd' (2006). Both songs were self-arranged by the unit; the opening is a cover with lyrics by Michio Yamagami and composition by Toshiyuki Kimori, while the ending is an original written and composed by Tsuyoshi Okawa. Their fresh, approachable band sound suited the youth ensemble story set in high school baseball, carrying both the opening and ending of the sequel series.
