FLEET is a band formed in spring 2004 centered on designer-turned-musician Junichi Sato, characterized by a lyrical post-rock and guitar-pop sound. They made their major-label debut on Lantis with the ending theme 'Brand New Reason' for the TV anime 'Innocent Venus' (2006). Written by Ryusuke Kato and composed and arranged by Junichi Sato, the song added quiet emotion to the lingering mood of the science-fiction anime set in a devastated near future. The band later took on the form of a Sato solo unit after member departures, and Sato went on to broaden his activity as a member of fhana. FLEET is known for its translucent sound craft.
