Makiyo is a singer and actress born in Yokohama of mixed Japanese and Taiwanese heritage. After spending her early childhood in Japan, she released songs centered on anime tie-ins in both Taiwan and Japan, earning support for her soft yet firm voice. For the TV anime 'Beyblade: G-Revolution', she performed two ending themes, 'Kaze no Fuku Basho' and 'Sign of Wish', bringing the final stretch of the series to a close with her warm vocals. She later also worked under the name Makiyo Kawashima, active broadly as a singer, TV personality, and actress. She is an artist who built her career moving between Japan and Taiwan.
