Hana*Hana is a Japanese female duo consisting of Makiko Ono and Izumi Kojima. Formed by two members who met at a music vocational school, they made their major debut in 2000 and appeared on the NHK Kohaku Uta Gassen that same year. They gained popularity with gentle, unpretentious harmonies and acoustic songs, and became widely known for 'Sayonara Daisuki na Hito', a song about the feelings of parting. They performed 'Kaze no Hana', the opening theme of the TV anime 'Someday's Dreamers'. Written and composed by Makiko Ono and arranged by Nobuyuki Shimizu, the song delivered vocals that matched the soft, calm atmosphere of the series.
