Seiji Katsu is a bassist, composer, and singer from Kanagawa Prefecture. He joined KODOMO BAND as bassist in 1983 and left in 1986; following his solo debut in 1989, he has worked broadly as a composer and ukulele player, and is known as a musician who specializes in upbeat rock pop. For the TV anime 'Pluster World' he composed and sang the latter opening theme (episodes 32-52) 'Kaze no Kunshou' (lyrics by MARIA, arrangement by Teruyuki Nobuchika), energizing this story of boys' adventures with a refreshing, vigorous number that stirred a sense of exploration. Combining the solid musicianship cultivated through band work with broad expressive range as a singer and composer, he is notable for engaging deeply with the work by performing a song he wrote himself.
