THE NEUTRAL is a Japanese rock band formed in Himeji City, Hyogo Prefecture. Their strengths lie in powerful guitar rock, melodies carrying a subtle sense of sorrow, and the straightforward voice of their male vocalist. Becoming nationally recognized upon their major debut, they landed an anime tie-up thanks to their straight-ahead band sound. One of their signature songs is 'Nichiyoubi no Taiyou' (Sunday Sun), the opening theme of the TV anime 'Narutaru', broadcast on Kids Station. Lyrics that conceal a sense of loss beneath a seemingly warm melody make the song emblematic of the show's duality, in which harsh developments unfold behind a gentle art style.
