Five Spirits is a project unit name for a group of female voice actresses who played the heroines of the TV anime 'Kita e: Diamond Dust Drops'. The five members are Eriko Ishihara, Akeno Watanabe, Yuko Takahashi, Mamiko Noto, and Mayu Amase, who together added color to this ensemble drama of heroines set in Hokkaido. On the opening theme 'Hop Step Jump', a light, poppy number written by Oji Hiroi and composed and arranged by Takeshi Ike, they sang with bright choral work, providing a cheerful, uplifting introduction to this omnibus work that chronicles the individual loves and struggles of girls living in a snowy northern city.
