FOOT STAMP is a male three-piece rock band from Niigata Prefecture. Their calling card is straightforward, energetic Japanese rock, and they stick to a style of delivering everyday feelings through unadorned words and robust playing. In anime, they performed 'Hontou no Kotoba', the opening theme of the school comedy 'Gokusen' (Nippon TV anime version), based on the original work by Kozueko Morimoto. Their honest, driving rock sound fit perfectly with the exhilarating youth drama of hot-blooded teacher Yankumi and her rough-edged students, and the song left a strong impression as an opening that vividly conveyed the heat and rawness of the show.
