The voice cast of the era portrays the characters in song: Saeko Chiba as the airheaded Chika Itoh (Nobue's younger sister), Fumiko Orikasa as the mischievous, boisterous Miu Matsuoka, Ayako Kawasumi as the ladylike Matsuri Sakuragi, and Mamiko Noto as Ana Coppola, a newcomer to Japan from England. The opening theme 'Ichigo Complete' is a pop tune in which their youthful yet distinctive voices interweave, turning the healing, slice-of-life atmosphere of the original work directly into sound.
