Actress and voice actress Marika Matsumoto voices the bright, spirited heroine Chocolat Meilleure, while Juri Ihata takes the role of her quiet, demure friend Vanilla Mieux. The ending theme 'Date Date' tells of the pair's adventures collecting hearts and finding love in the human world, riding on a light, girly pop sound produced in the Yasuharu Konishi style, and extending the original work's cute, magical atmosphere into music.
