Reika Okina is a Japanese female singer from Kitakyushu in Fukuoka Prefecture. With a Taiwanese father and Japanese mother, she drew attention for a mysterious, singular singing presence informed by that background. Her debut single 'Tsuki no Juubaku (Curse)' was written and composed by Yuki Kajiura and chosen as the opening theme of the TV anime 'Loveless', based on the original manga by Yun Kouga. Kajiura's signature fantastical chorus work and Okina's mysterious vocals blend into the fleeting, heart-rending story of boys with ears and tails, producing a song that symbolizes the work's world.
