Furuido
Artist
Furuido is a Japanese folk duo formed by Yoshitaro Kanasaki and Reichi Nakaido (Chabo), characterized by Kanasaki's powerful vocals and Chabo's bluesy guitar work and lyrical world. Known as a presence that has left its name in the early history of Japanese folk and rock, their signature song 'Nantoka Nare', written and composed by Reichi Nakaido, was chosen as the opening theme for 'Touhai Densetsu Akagi 〜Yami ni Maiorita Tensai〜', the mahjong anime based on Nobuyuki Fukumoto's manga. With its earthy, sturdy folk-rock sound, the song lends a distinctive flavor to the destructive and ephemeral way of life of Shigeru Akagi, the genius who throws himself into the insane world of underground pro mahjong.
