Puppy Pet was a Japanese rock band based in the Kansai region. Known for approachable melodies and honest lyrics, they appeared on the music scene with their major debut single 'Namidaboshi'. The song was chosen as the first ending theme of 'BLACK CAT', the anime based on Kentaro Yabuki's dark action manga, and serves as a bittersweet yet warm mid-tempo number that accompanies the story of sorrow and salvation woven by the former assassin Train and his companions. Singing of unfulfilled feelings and the sadness of loss as if layering them onto starlight, it gently envelops the afterglow of the work.
