Dohatsuten is a Japanese rock band from Sapporo, Hokkaido. They are a formidable group loved by a wide range of generations for their original Showa kayo-rock that swallows up kayokyoku, R&B and blues, as well as their heartfelt masculine songs. In anime, they handled two tracks for the TV anime 'Ginga Densetsu Weed', based on Yoshihiro Takahashi's hot-blooded dog manga: the opening theme 'Ginga Densetsu Weed' and the ending theme 'Tsukiakari'. Through the contrast between heated roar-like shouts and poignant melodies longing for comrades, they emotionally colored the battles of wild dogs staking their bonds on their companions.
