Mei Kurokawa is a Japanese actress. Active in films, dramas and commercials since her child-actor days, she plays a wide variety of roles with her translucent presence and natural acting style. As anime-related work as a singer, she handled 'Boku no Kimochi', the opening theme for the TV anime 'Minami no Shima no Chiisana Hikouki Birdy', which aired on NHK Educational TV. She sings with a straightforward and expansive voice a song written by Akiko Yano and composed and arranged by Haruomi Hosono, resulting in a warm track that accompanies the adventure story of a small airplane set on a southern island.
