Yukadan are known as a Japanese blues band, and their understated playing brought a distinctive flavour to anime themes. For 'Gegege no Kitaro (4th Series)' they performed the opening 'Gegege no Kitaro', the ending 'Karankoron no Uta' and also 'Iyan Nacchau Bushi', adding an earthy yet warm bluesy hue to the yokai world. They sang 'Gegege no Kitaro' for the films 'Gegege no Kitaro: Daikaiju' and 'Yokai Express: Maboroshi no Kisha' as well. Their bluesy re-reading of an old nursery-rhyme-style theme leaves a strong impression.
