A vocal ensemble rooted in Japanese folk and traditional singing. For the film 'Ghost in the Shell' they gave voice to composer Kenji Kawai's signature soundscape, performing the opening 'Utai I - Making of Cyborg' and the ending 'Utai III - Reincarnation'. Their incantatory, almost ritual chanting layered ancient melodic phrasing over a cyberpunk world, lending mythic weight and a breath of life to the story's blurred line between machine and flesh.
