A performer active as actor and singer. Closely associated with the adventure fantasy 'Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai', he sang the opening 'Yuusha yo Isoge!!' and ending 'Kono Michi Waga Tabi'; depicting courage and setting out on a journey, these became songs emblematic of the work. 'Yuusha yo Isoge!!' was carried over into the film and special editions such as 'Stand Up!! Avan's Disciples' and the 'Shinsei 6 Daishougun' chapter. With a resonant, full-throated voice he splendidly expressed the exhilaration of orthodox fantasy.
