A leading Japanese male vocalist hailed as the 'King of Anime Song'. Armed with a powerful, soaring shout, he sang an enormous number of theme songs centered on robot anime and tokusatsu. His representative works are countless, from the theme songs of the psychic anime 'Babel II' based on Mitsuteru Yokoyama's manga, to 'Grand Prix Boogie' for the racing anime 'Machine Hayabusa' and the theme for 'Space Pirate Captain Harlock' set in Leiji Matsumoto's world. He also handled the vocal version of 'Lupin III Ai no Theme' and songs for 'Yakyu-kyo no Uta', 'Shin Kyojin no Hoshi II' and 'White Whale of Mu'. A symbolic figure of the anison world, he continued to inspire generations of fans with his fervent voice.
