Shoko Minami
Artist
Shoko Minami was a female singer active mainly in the 1980s, with a deep connection to the popular works of Rumiko Takahashi. For 'Urusei Yatsura' she sang the opening 'Tonogata Gomen Asobase', the ending 'Good Luck ~Eien yori Ai wo Komete' and the insert song 'Half Moon wa Tokimeki Iro', adding gorgeous colour to its romantic comedy. These songs continued to be used in the OVAs 'Ryoko's September Tea Party' and 'Reikon to Date'. Her vocals, both clear and pop, enhanced the charm of a work that was zany yet somehow wistful.
